Dr. Nicole McCarter is a naturopathic doctor specializing in digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances, skin problems, and disease prevention. After graduating, she completed a residency at Grain Integrative Health in Portland, Oregon and worked in private practice in New York before joining Peninsula Integrative.
Dr. McCarter’s approach combines the wisdom of naturopathic medicine with the science of conventional medicine. She looks beyond your diagnosis and wants to know why you have symptoms. Why do you have heartburn? Why do you have acne? Why aren’t you having a period? What went wrong and how can it be fixed? By addressing the why, she addresses the root cause.
Dr. McCarter uses safe, effective and natural therapies to help per patients restore optimal health and vitality. These therapies include nutritional assessment and lifestyle counseling, herbal medicine, nutritional supplements, and homeopathy. These therapies stimulate the natural healing processes and nurture the body back to health rather than suppressing symptoms with medications.
Dr. McCarter has a passion for helping patients recognize and accomplish their health goals and looks forward to helping you start, or continue, your journey to optimal health and vitality.
